Last PSA Blog Post! Yay!

evaluate the PSA project unit--what did you learn? what helped you to learn? What was the most challenging aspects of the unit? How could the unit be improved

My group's PSA was a very good topic I thought. And the final version of our PSA

was great but it didn't turn out the way we thought it would. We thought our message

would be clear and that everything would be so easy. We thought it would be a breeze to

make this PSA but we found that to be untrue.

Stacy had alot of crazy ideas that Joe and I didn't agree with most of the time and

Stacy didn't like that one bit. He would always be focused on how to make things funny in

our PSA process when Joe and I were telling him we need to focus on the task at hand

and if we have spare time then we can work on stuff like that rather than doing things his

way. We found ourselves arguing every minute because I didn't agree with the way things

should be done in the process of making this PSA. I found Stacy to not be focused in the

pre-process and editing process of the PSA, in fact Stacy didn't help out at all with the

editing process.

Also, we found out that our times didn't workout with each others. I had a ski trip

one weekend, Joe was out of town for a week and a half (making it impossible to work

with Stacy), all three of us have jobs and different work schedules. But we did our best

with our limited amount of time working with each other.

By watching peoples reactions, I concluded that our PSA was good but could have

been better. They thought that our PSA was strong but it could have been stronger and

that would have carried our key message across more, although they say our key

message got the point across. Making a good PSA requires a lot of thinking and filming

and editing. We thought a ton about our PSA but as I said in the above paragraph we just

didn't have enough time to complete our idea. We were under a time crunch but we still

finished it with the same message getting across to our viewers - which was our goal.

Our other goal was to try to change the way the South High community is with ordering

food. But it has not been viewed yet by the community as a whole.

Overall I have learned a lot. Next time I have a project I will not be working with

someone who doesn't work well with the group. It just makes the process so much longer

and when two strong willed people have different views thing just tend to not work. Other

than this I have learned different filming techniques and I kinda figured out how to edit! I think

that this unit was great and nothing should be changed! Through the ups and the downs our

PSA was finished.
